Manchester United's latest acquisition Sergio Romero believes that sitting next to assistant manager Ryan Giggs every day will be like being part of the rich history of the club.

The Red Devils snapped up free agent Romero on Sunday night as back-up for Real Madrid linked David de Gea. The 28-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Red Devils with the option of a further year.

Giggs, according to the former AZ Alkmaar player, is a man who has won everything with the club and is still there living every moment.

"Well, part of the history of the club is sitting next to the [assistant] manager every day in the form of Ryan Giggs", Romero said in an interview with his new club's official website.
