Barcelona have identified Celta Vigo forward Nolito as a potential replacement for Manchester United target Pedro Rodriguez.

The Blaugrana are said to be resigned to the fact that they might not be able to stop Pedro from leaving the club this summer and Manchester United are reportedly his most likely destination.

While Luis Enrique is reluctant to lose the player, according to Catalan daily Sport, he has identified another former Barcelona man in the form of Nolito as a replacement for Pedro.

The 28-year-old Spaniard did spend three seasons at Barcelona, mostly playing for the reserves, before moving to Benfica in 2011.

Enrique brought him to Celta Vigo in 2013 during his time at the Balaidos and the forward is said to have shared a close relationship with the current Barcelona manager.

It has been claimed that Nolito is willing to return to his former club to play under his former manager his summer and the deal could happen if Pedro eventually decides to leave the Camp Nou.

Manchester United are in negotiations with Barcelona and deal worth €30m could be agreed between the two clubs in the next few days.

Pedro wants to leave Barcelona this summer to play more football ahead of next summer’s European Championship in France.
