Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has spoken highly of the new arrivals at Stamford Bridge this summer, striker Radamel Falcao and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The two signings so far for the Blues have directly replaced the departed Didier Drogba and Petr Cech, and Ivanovic took time to praise his new team-mates.

“I wish him good career in Chelsea and during all the years he was in Stoke he was one of the best in the league, and I hope he can help our team”, said the Serb of Begovic to Chelsea’s official website.

The 31-year-old is relieved to see Falcao as his team-mate and praised the work the Colombian has put in during training to get back into form after a season to forget at Manchester United.

“Especially when we remember how he good he was when he played against us. He is scoring goals in training and is working hard to be at that level.”
