Fiorentina are eyeing a move for Tottenham Hotspur linked forward Javier Hernandez this summer.

The Manchester United striker, who had a disappointing loan spell at Real Madrid last season, reported for pre-season training during the weekend.

While there has been speculation that the English giants might look to offload him this summer, Louis van Gaal has said that Hernandez could feature in his plans for next season.

But that hasn’t deterred the Mexican’s long line of suitors, who are keen to prise him away from Old Trafford this summer.

Fiorentina are the latest club to be linked with a move for the forward and according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, La Viola are plotting a summer swoop for Hernandez.

The Serie A side are looking to add a forward to their ranks ahead of the new season and feel they can convince Manchester United to part with the Mexican, who is also said to be a Tottenham target.

However, Van Gaal is unlikely to allow Hernandez to leave the club until and unless he manages to sign a world class forward this summer.

The striker himself has shown an interest in proving himself at Old Trafford and forcing his way back into the Dutchman’s plans for the new season.
