Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has signed a new five-year deal to stay with the Bianconeri until 2020.

A statement on Juventus’ official website confirmed that the defender will be continuing his stay in Turin for the next five years.

The Italian international, who joined the club from Bari in 2010, played 52 times for Juventus in the 2014/15 season and helped them to a domestic double as well as the Champions League final.
 


The 28-year-old joins his Italy and Juventus team-mates Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini and Claudio Marchisio in signing a new contract with the Turin giants.

The defender made 52 appearances in all competitions last season, and scored four goals.

Bonucci has won four Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cup titles during his five-year stay at the club.

A centre-back by trade, Bonucci is a regular in Antonio Conte’s Italy side and was part of the national team setup for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups as well as the 2012 European Championship.
