Manchester United are hoping to close out a deal to sign Liverpool target Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona soon, according to Madrid-based Spanish daily Marca.

The Red Devils are in negotiations with the Blaugrana for the signature of Pedro and have made an initial offer of €25m for the Spaniard.

Manchester United are keen to take the 27-year-old to England this summer, but are not ready to commit more than €32m for the Barcelona man.

On the other hand, Barcelona are still hopeful of keeping Pedro at the Nou Camp as Luis Enrique is not keen to weaken the squad as he won’t be allowed to field a replacement for the forward before their transfer ban is lifted in January.

However, the Spaniard himself has reportedly made up his mind to leave the Catalan giants as he wants to play more football ahead of next summer’s European Championship.
