Bayern Munich have officially confirmed the signing of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal from Juventus.

The 28-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Bavarian outfit, and arrives at his new club having won the Copa America with Chile during the summer.




Vidal has expressed his delight at sealing the move to the Germans champions, and talked it up as a “dream come true”.

He has also underlined his aim to help his new club win trophies.
 


“I’m very happy. This is a new step in my career and I hope I do well here”, Vidal said to the club’s official website.

The midfielder helped Juventus to a domestic double last season and helped the Bianconeri to their first Champions League final in 12 years.

Vidal becomes manager Pep Guardiola’s fourth signing of the summer after Douglas Costa, Joshua Kimmich and Sven Ulreich.

The Chilean played 45 times for Juventus in 2014/15 and scored eight goals. He made 171 appearances for the Turin giants in his four seasons at the club, scoring 48 goals and providing 26 assists.

Vidal has previous experience of playing in the Bundesliga, having spent four seasons at Bayern Munich’s domestic rivals Bayer Leverkusen from 2007 to 2011.
