Everton have joined the chase for West Ham and Manchester United linked defender Aleksandar Dragovic.

The 24-year-old defender’s future has been the subject of intense speculation since January, when he was widely tipped to be on his way to Manchester United.

However, the Austrian international stayed put at Dynamo Kyiv, but the rumours surrounding his future at the club have refused to die down.

Premier League side West Ham have already been linked with a move for Dragovic and another English side in the form of Everton are claimed to have joined the chase for the defender.

According to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, Everton have zeroed in on the Austrian defender as a potential replacement for John Stones, who has already been the subject of a bid from Chelsea.

While the Toffees want to hold on to Stones, they would make a move for Dragovic should the England defender eventually decides to join the Premier League champions this summer.

The 24-year-old defender’s season with Dynamo Kyiv has already started and he has already made three appearances for the club.

He has earned 38 caps for Austria and has a contract until 2018 with his current club.
