Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is relishing the prospect of playing his first pre-season game in the MLS All-Star game tomorrow.

Kane, who had an extended break following his summer exertions with England Under-21s at the Under-21 European Championship, is looking forward to Spurs’ first game of their pre-season tour of the United States.

Speaking to his club’s official website, Kane said: “It’s my first game of pre-season and I’m really looking forward to it."

The 22-year-old, who will square off against the likes of David Villa, Clint Dempsey and Kaka in tomorrow’s friendly, has talked up the growth of Major League Soccer, which he feels is becoming “bigger and bigger”.

“We get to watch the MLS games on TV in England and you can see the level is improving, the MLS is becoming bigger and bigger and attracting big games.

“You only have to look at the players we’ll be facing and that proves my point”, he added.

Kane is excited to get onto the pitch, and believes facing the MLS players who are in the middle of their season will be a “great” test for the north London outfit.

“The MLS players are also mid-season, so they will all be fit and ready to play. All the lads are excited and raring to go for this game.

“It will be a great test for us”, said Kane.

Tottenham have been preparing for the start of the new Premier League campaign without Kane and played three behind-closed-doors friendlies against Southend, Reading and Brentford at Hotspur Way before embarking on their American tour.

They will start their 2015/16 campaign against Manchester United on the 8th of August at Old Trafford.
