Rangers manager Mark Warburton has not ruled out the possibility of further arrivals at the club despite bringing in seven new players this summer.

The 52-year-old is of the opinion that a club of Rangers’ stature should always look to strengthen and add value to the squad, which he believes drives the current squad of players to perform better.

“Rangers Football Club have to strengthen whenever possible, if we can add value at whatever stage of the season we have to do it and that is the challenge to the players to maintain their level”, Warburton said to the Gers’ official website.

“They’re not fools they know that playing for Rangers you have to maintain your standards.”

Warburton has also talked up the need for improvements in the club’s coaching set-up, and says the club are always looking at opportunities to add quality to their coaching staff.

“And again if we can add quality to the coaching staff then we will always be looking”, he added.

Since his appointment at Ibrox last month, Warburton has overseen seven new arrivals at the club: Rob Kiernan, Danny Wilson, Wes Foderingham, Andy Halliday, Martyn Waghorn, James Tavernier and Jason Holt.

The club are in pursuit of wantaway Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan, who handed in a transfer request yesterday. However, Hibernian have warned Rangers they will not let the midfielder move to Ibrox.
