Tottenham Hotspur linked attacking midfielder Florian Thauvin has rejected an offer from Premier League side Aston Villa.

Despite an underwhelming last season at Marseille, the French talent is in demand in England as a number of Premier League clubs have been rumoured to be interested in him.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Tottenham for a number of months and he has even resisted an offer from Newcastle United this summer.

However, another Premier League side in the form of Aston Villa are claimed to have made a bid to sign him, but according to French radio station RMC Sport, the midfielder has again rejected a move to England.

The Villans have already signed Jordan Ayew, Jordan Amavi and Idrissa Gueye from Ligue 1 sides this summer and were hoping to add Thauvin to their French contingent at the Midlands.

However, Thauvin has rejected a move to the Villa Park and is keen to prove his worth at Marseille next season.

The player is also claimed to have rebuffed an offer from another unnamed Premier League side, which should please the Marseille fans, who have seen a number of top players leave the club this summer.

He still has three years left on his contract with Marseille.
