Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is expected to travel to England soon to hold further talks about signing Edin Dzeko from Manchester City.

The Giallorossi have been on the trail of the Bosnian forward all summer, but have so far failed to reach an agreement with Manchester City.

The 29-year-old is said to be keen to move to the Stadio Olimpico, but Roma are facing difficulties in convincing Manchester City to lower their asking price of €30m.

While the clubs have been maintaining contact to agree a fee, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, Sabatini is planning another England trip to close the deal out for Dzeko.

Roma are keen to resolve the situation soon and the club’s sporting director will soon travel to England for a fresh round of talks with Manchester City.

Manuel Pellegrini has indicated that the Bosnian might leave the club this summer, but the Mancunian side are looking to extract the best possible price out of Dzeko’s sale.

Roma are confident that they will be able to bring the forward to Italy and club captain Francesco Totti has already endorsed the move.

Dzeko still has three years left on his contract with Manchester City.
