Valencia manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants the club to sell Alvaro Negredo this summer, according to Spanish daily Sport.

Negredo spent last season on loan at the Mestalla from Premier League giants Manchester City and went on to score five goals and provide as many assists for his team-mates from 30 league appearances.

A clause in his loan deal meant that the Spanish outfit had to buy the forward post the completion of his season-long loan stint.

However, Valencia boss is not eager on the Spain international and wants the club to sell him this summer.

Santo preferred to used Paco Alcacer and Rodrigo has his preferred marksmen last season and Valencia have also acquired Santi Mina from Celta Vigo this summer, something that gives the manager another attacking outlet.
