Premier League new boys Watford are amongst the clubs who are eyeing a deal for Palermo full-back Achraf Lazaar this summer.

While he didn’t start the last season as the club’s first choice full-back, Lazaar did make 27 league starts for Palermo and even played as a left-sided midfielder for Giuseppe Iachini’s side.

A number of top clubs have taken note of the versatile full-back and are keen to prise him away from the Sicilian club this summer.

Premier League new boys Watford are claimed to have been keen to sign the Moroccan, but according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, they are expected to face a stiff challenge for his signature from Roma and Monaco.

The Giallorossi kept a hawkish eye on his performances last season and even Ligue 1 side Monaco are pondering over making a move for him.

While Watford are yet to make an offer for Achraf, they might have to step up on their interest as Palermo are expecting to receive bids for the full-back soon.

The 23-year-old joined Palermo initially on a loan deal from Varese before making the move permanent last summer.

He has two years left on his contract with the Sicilian side.
