Former Chelsea forward Adrian Mutu has signed for Indian Super League outfit Pune City.

The 36-year-old Romanian joins the Pune-based club as their marquee signing for the second edition of the Indian Super League.

Mutu, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2003 and became one of the first players to be bought by Chelsea in the Roman Abramovich era, played 38 times for the Blues and scored ten goals in a controversial short spell in London

The forward replaces French World Cup winner David Trezeguet as his new club’s marquee acquisition for the 2015 season.

Mutu has played 77 times for the Romanian national team and is currently their all-time top scorer, level with Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi on 35 goals.
