Brazilian club Internacional midfielder Charles Aranguiz is being pursued by Premier League side Leicester City, according to Brazilian daily Globo Esporte.

Aranguiz has also been linked with a move to Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen as they bid to strengthen their ranks for the 2015/16 campaign, while he declared his admiration for Arsenal in March after being linked with the Gunners.

The Chile international has notched 36 appearances for Internacional across all competitions and has contributed six goals and four assists to their cause.

Leicester are prepared to shell out €15m for the midfielder as they try to persuade him to sign for them ahead of Bayer Leverkusen.

The Premier League outfit have appointed former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri for the forthcoming season after dispensing with the services of Nigel Pearson.

Leicester struggled throughout their league campaign, but eventually managed to avoid the drop to the Championship and finished 14th in the league standings.

The Foxes have already acquired Christian Fuchs, Shinji Okazaki and Robert Huth this summer and the possible addition of Aranguiz will give more options to manager Ranieri.

Aranguiz was part of the Chile national team at the Copa America earlier this summer and helped them secure their first ever major trophy following their defeat of Argentina in the final.
