Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not in line for a return to management with former club Molde.

Solskjaer cut his managerial teeth with Manchester United's reserve side after hanging up his boots as a player, but moved into senior management with Molde, who he led to two Norwegian top flight titles.

The 42-year-old left Norway to return to English football with Welsh outfit Cardiff City last year, but struggled to make an impact and was sacked in September, departing having overseen the club's relegation to the Championship in the 2013/14 season.

Solskjaer has been linked with making a return to management at Molde, but according to Norwegian daily VG, such a switch is unlikely.

Molde are instead chasing former United States coach Bob Bradley.

The American is currently in charge of Stabaek and has won plaudits for his work at the club, putting him on Molde's radar.

Molde are also looking at Haugesund assistant Mark Dempsey.

Currently Molde find themselves sitting sixth in the Norwegian top flight, while Bradley's Stabaek are third. Rosenborg top the table.
