Real Madrid are keen on completing the transfer of Jesus Vallejo from Real Zaragoza at the earliest opportunity, according to Madrid-based daily AS.

Vallejo has been reported to be a target of Real Madrid all summer as they bid to prise away the highly-billed centre-back from Segunda Division outfit Real Zaragoza.

Los Blancos appear set to get their target with only details in the deal needed to be worked out.

It has been claimed that Vallejo will become a Real Madrid player for a fee between €5.5m and €6m. He will be loaned back to La Romareda outfit for the forthcoming season. However, Real Zaragoza will have a buy-back option worth €7m for the defender, if they earn promotion next season.

Real Zaragoza want €6m for the centre-back, whereas Los Blancos want to persuade them with an initial payment of €4.5m and a further €1m in add-ons.
