West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan's son, Jack, insists the Hammers are continuing to work on signing new players and still have time to do deals.

The Hammers have supported new manager Slaven Bilic by adding a number of players over the summer, including midfielder Dimitri Payet from Marseille.

They remain in the hunt to sign Alex Song on a permanent basis from Barcelona, but the midfielder would likely not be the last of their additions.

Jack wrote on his blog on West Ham's official site: "I know a lot of fans are asking about the possibility of any more new signings coming into the club.

"I know my dad is continuing to work hard behind the scenes, but we are determined to spend the money wisely and get the best value we can for a player", he continued.

West Ham's season has already begun with the Hammers involved in Europa League action. Indeed, Bilic's men are currently preparing to lock horns with Romanian outfit Astra Giurgiu in the first leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie.

The return is scheduled for next week, while following soon after is West Ham's first Premier League match of the season, with a trip to Arsene Wenger's Arsenal on the agenda.
