Former Celtic winger Wakaso Mubarak appears likely to be heading to the Middle East with Al Ittihad all but done with a deal for the Ghana international.

Wakaso spent last season on loan at Celtic playing under Norwegian manager Ronny Deila, having made the move to Scotland from Russian side Rubin Kazan.

However, he struggled to make an impact at Celtic Park and made just eleven appearances for the Bhoys, chipping in with a single goal, scored in the Europa League.

Now, according to Sky Italia, Wakaso is poised to head to Al Ittihad, who have all but reached an agreement to sign him.

Wakaso is due in Milan tomorrow, where he will undergo a medical and, all being well, put pen to paper with Al Ittihad.
