Former Leeds United star Max Gradel is poised to undergo a medical with Bournemouth ahead of a move to the Premier League club.

Gradel's current side, French outfit Saint-Etienne, have been resisting selling him unless their €10m asking price was met.

Now, according to French radio station RMC, the Cherries have slapped in a €10m bid, meeting Saint-Etienne's asking price for the hitman.

Gradel is, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, now set to undergo a medical with Bournemouth ahead of sealing a switch to the newly promoted Premier League side.

Gradel is expected to be presented as a Bournemouth player at the beginning of next week, a development which will see him added to Eddie Howe's squad just ahead of the kick off of the new Premier League season.

The forward hit 17 goals in Ligue 1 for Saint-Etienne last season and the club were reluctant to lose his services.

However, Gradel has been keen to move back to England, a familiar and happy hunting ground for the Ivorian.
