Leeds United are looking to offload strikers Steve Morison and Nicky Ajose this summer to clear the duo's salary from their wage bill.

The Championship giants have already brought in a number of new players this summer, swelling their wage bill by adding Charlie Horton, Sol Bamba, Tom Adeyemi, Lee Erwin, Chris Wood and Ross Turnbull to their ranks.

Now, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are bidding to move out two players deemed surplus to requirements.

Head coach Uwe Rosler left Ajose, who spent a chunk of last season out on loan away from Elland Road, out of the club's pre-season tour and made clear he has no future with the Whites.

However, Rosler has appeared happy with Morison, who he took on Leeds' journey to Austria and Norway.

Indeed, following Leeds' friendly defeat against Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, Rosler said: "He was leading the line very well and has experience in when to press, when to drop, when to flick on, when to hold.

"And obviously he scored a goal. He had a good game."

But now it appears the Whites are trying to offload the striker as they prepare to head into the new Championship campaign, which starts with a match at Elland Road against Burnley on 8th August.
