Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler has revealed that he has received assurances from Roberto Martinez about facing a strong Everton outfit and expects stiff competition from the Toffees tomorrow.

The Premier League side will play two matches in two days as the testimonial game for former Everton striker Duncan Ferguson is set to be played on Sunday.

With the domestic season kick-off just a week away for both sides, Martinez may well not want to overwork his players, but the Peacocks' manager insists that he has spoken to his counterpart and has had assurances from him about facing a strong team at Elland Road tomorrow.

The German manager also believes that it will be a good test for the Toffees as they brace themselves for the gruelling domestic season next term.

“We knew that they had a Sunday game ,but Roberto Martinez has given me the assurance that it will be a strong team”, Rosler told his club's official website.

“It’s a good test for them as well.

“Everton are a top club in this country, they have a strong squad. We will face stiff opposition.”

The 46-year-old also took time to insist ob the need for rotation this season, which he feels will be necessary to achieve his goals.

“With the way I want to play, the way we practice and the way we have played in pre-season, there’s a very demanding and energetic playing style.

“If I’m only using 11 players, I don’t think we will achieve our goals. We will rotate in a sensible way but not to lose our consistency, energy and quality."

Leeds will kick-off their domestic campaign against Burnley next Saturday.
