Celtic have received a boost in their chase for ADO Den Haag striker Michiel Kramer after one of their rivals in the chase, Feyenoord, saw their bid for the hitman hit a bump in the road.

Ronny Deila's side have been scouting Kramer ahead of a potential bid to take him to Scotland this summer. However, Feyenoord are leading the chase to keep the striker in the Netherlands.

Feyenoord had been eyeing offering Mitchell te Vrede as part of a deal to sign Kramer.

But their plans have not met with approval from Te Vrede.

Indeed, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Te Vrede has no intention of acting as a makeweight in a deal for Kramer and instead wants to come to his own decision on his future.

Te Vrede has interest from the English Championship and believes with the transfer window set to remain open for another month he has ample time to make a decision over where he plays next term.

As such the 23-year-old forward is determined to resist being pushed to ADO Den Haag as part of a deal for Kramer, meaning Feyenoord will have to reassess their offer for the striker.
