Brentford boss Marinus Dijkhuizen admits that Leeds United linked winger Stuart Dallas does not want to extend his contract with the club and could be sold.

Dallas has been strongly linked with joining former Brentford boss Uwe Rosler at Elland Road as Leeds look to sign a winger.

Speculation that Dallas is on the verge of joining Leeds was given a push forward today when Rosler admitted that his side are on the verge of signing another player.

And Dijkhuizen, when asked to comment on Dallas being linked with Leeds, conceded that the Northern Irishman may be on the move, even if Brentford would rather he stayed put.

Dijkhuizen told BBC London Sport: "There is interest from other clubs and he still has one year on his contract.

"He doesn't want to sign another contract, so it's possible he will leave in a couple of days or weeks.

"I hope not because we want him to stay, but maybe he wants to go."

Dijkhuizen only took charge of Brentford earlier this summer after the departure of Mark Warburton, who is now in the dugout at Rangers.

The 43-year-old Dutchman may have to soon wrestle with Dallas leaving the club, something which would mean him losing a player who made 38 appearances in the Championship for Brentford last season.
