Liverpool striker Divock Origi says that the Reds are well prepared to enjoy a positive season following their pre-season exertions.

Brendan Rodgers' men recorded a 2-0 win over HJK Helsinki in Finland earlier today with goals from Origi and Philippe Coutinho in the last 20 minutes.

Liverpool have a single remaining friendly fixture, tomorrow against Swindon Town, before they then start the new Premier League season with a trip to Stoke City next Sunday.

Origi feels that spirits are high in the camp and Liverpool are now ready to produce on the pitch in the highly competitive atmosphere of the Premier League.

The Belgium international told LFC TV: "We're ready to have a very good season.

"The mentality is very good. We're very tight as a group and now we have to show it on the field", the striker added.

Liverpool signed Origi from French Ligue 1 side Lille last season, but agreed to loan him back to the club for a season as per the terms of the deal.

Now however he has finally arrived at Liverpool and Rodgers will be looking for him to chip in with regular goals as the Reds aim to improve on a finish of sixth last season.
