Manchester United target Pedro Rodriguez’s former club Raqui San Isidro’s president Jaime Lorenzo has indicated towards a move to England for the forward.

The English giants are in negotiations with Barcelona over a fee for the Spain international and a deal around €30m could be agreed soon.




Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is expected to travel to Barcelona next week to put the final touches on a proposed deal with Barcelona.

The player is thought to be open to a move to Old Trafford and has asked Barcelona to sanction his sale.
 


In another indication that Pedro is on his way to the Premier League, his former club’s president has said that Pedro’s mother has revealed to him that her son will move to England this summer.

Speaking to El Larguero, the Raqui San Isidro supremo said: “The other day Pedro’s mother told us that he is going to England.

“I think it would be a good challenge for him and he will get more playing time there.”

Lorenzo added that Raqui San Isidro are also slated to receive some cash if Barcelona agree to sell Pedro to Manchester United this summer.

“His move could bring us something around €450,000, on the basis of a €30m deal.”

The 27-year-old forward started his career at this Canary Islands club before joining the Barcelona academy in 2004.
