Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has encouraged speculation about David de Gea moving to the club from Manchester United.

While Ramos has recently been linked with heading to Manchester United after a contract wrangle with Real Madrid, it is De Gea who has been linked with a move the longest, with the Bernabeu mooted to be his potential destination.

De Gea has still not extended a contract which has a year to run, though Ramos appears to have now ironed out his differences with Real Madrid and is set to sign on until 2020.

Today, Manchester United publicised their new Adidas kit, with De Gea absent from the photos.

While it has been claimed this was the case because De Gea is sponsored personally by Adidas' rivals Nike, Ramos thought fit to promote a story drawing attention to his absence.

Indeed, on Twitter Ramos made a story pointing out De Gea's absence one of his favourites, only his seventh favourite on the social media network.

Ramos appears to be keen for De Gea to make the move to Real Madrid this summer, but so far there is no breakthrough in talks between Manchester United and the Spanish giants.
