Liverpool face a nervous wait on midfielder Joe Allen after he was forced off through injury in today's friendly win over Swindon Town.

Goals from Christian Benteke and Sheyi Ojo handed the Reds a 2-1 victory in their final friendly of pre-seeason, but there is concern for Allen, who limped off.

The Wales international lasted only 13 minutes at the County Ground and is now set to have a scan tomorrow on an injury manager Brendan Rodgers believes is a hamstring problem.

Rodgers told LFC TV: "I think Joe was his hamstring, unfortunately, so that doesn't look so good for us.

"But we'll see how that is tomorrow when he has a scan", the Reds boss added.
