Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has done his best to stamp on speculation that his side are moving to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this summer.

Wenger's men beat Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley today to win the Community Shield, with the occasion also being the first time the Frenchman has tasted success against Jose Mourinho.

Arsenal's title chances were instantly talked up post-match, while speculation continued that the Gunners are in the market for Benzema, with the transfer talk around the striker reaching fever pitch last week.

Wenger is clear that Arsenal are not in for Benzema and questioned where the speculation is coming from.

"No, nothing is happening. Honestly no", he replied via his club's site, when asked about Benzema.
