AC Milan continue to monitor the situation of Paris Saint-Germain marksman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but he is unlikely to leave the Parisians before his contract expires next year, according to Sky Italia.

Ibrahimovic moved to the Parc des Princes in the summer of 2012 from AC Milan and has gone on to become one of the pivotal players at the club.




In his three seasons in the French capital, he has netted 106 goals from 143 appearances across all competitions, also setting up his team-mates with a further 43 goals.

AC Milan have been keen on a return for the forward, but he has stayed put thus far, however, the Serie A outfit continue to monitor his situation and are expected not to relent until the transfer window closes.
 


The Sweden international’s existing contract with the reigning French champions expires next summer, and AC Milan are hopeful of landing him for free next year.

During his time with the Rossoneri, the striker scored 56 goals from 85 appearances and won the Scudetto in the 2010/11 season, which remains AC Milan’s last league title.

The Serie A giants have hired Sinisa Mihajlovic at the helm and will be keen to improve upon their tenth placed league finish from last season.

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic was part of the PSG side that defeated Lyon 2-0 in the Trophee des Champions last weekend.
