Barcelona defender Adriano Correia’s agent Paulo Affonso Neves is all set to meet the club hierarchy tomorrow in order to negotiate an exit for his client, according to Catalan daily Sport.

Adriano has struggled for regular first team football at the Camp Nou outfit as he has been behind first choice left-back Jordi Alba in the pecking order.

Last season, he made a mere ten league starts and has been keen on the search for another club in order to play regular first team football.

Premier League giants Liverpool have been keen on the acquisition of the Brazilian, but Roma have emerged as the leading candidates to land the defender.

Rudi Garcia’s side are prepared to hand him a three-season long contract, a proposal that suits the versatile defender.

Roma are in no hurry to complete the purchase and are willing to wait until the end of August to get their target, however, Neves is meeting Blaugrana officials to accelerate the transfer.

In an attempt to leave no stone unturned to get the 30-year-old, Roma have been reported to be ready to increase their bid.

Adriano has been at the Camp Nou since he arrived in 2010 from Sevilla under then manager Pep Guardiola, and has gone on to make 170 appearances across all competitions for the Catalans.
