Napoli midfielder Gokhan Inler’s agent is set to travel to England today as he attempts to negotiate a deal for his client with Leicester City, according to Sky Italia.

The two clubs have already reached an agreement for the midfielder, who has been consistently linked with Liverpool, but the player remains unconvinced about a move to a side that struggled to evade relegation last term.

Leicester City flirted with a drop to the Championship under Nigel Pearson, but ultimately secured their Premier League status with a 14th placed finish.

Pearson has since been replaced by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri and the Italian is believed to be an admirer of the Switzerland international.

Inler’s agent will attempt to find an agreement to take him to the King Power Stadium ahead of the 2015/16 campaign, but will need to be won over.
