West Ham United are on the brink of making a further signing, the son of co-chairman David Sullivan has revealed.

The Hammers have been linked with a number of players as boss Slaven Bilic looks to put the finishing touches to his squad ahead of the kick off of the new Premier League season.

Now Sullivan's son, Jack, claims an agreement is in place with a club for an unnamed player, although he did appear to confirm the player will be a non-EU player by stressing an application for a work permit needs to be made to the Football Association.

He wrote on Twitter: "Transfer news: Agreement in place with the club and player.

"Our application for a work permit goes to the FA this week", Jack added.

However, he was keeping tight-lipped on who the player in question is, adding: "I cannot say which player, sorry."

West Ham have been busy making signings over the summer transfer window, but as Bilic looks to shape a side capable of pushing up to the top half of the Premier League table, business is continuing at Upton Park.

The Hammers are also involved in the Europa League, which they qualified for via the fair play league and started their campaign in from the first round as a result.
