Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Community Shield hero Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and talked him up as one of the best talents he has ever seen.

Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the winning goal against Chelsea to help the Gunners to their first silverware of the season in the FA Community Shield at Wembley yesterday.

And Arteta talked up the youngster’s goal as “unbelievable,” and feels the 21-year-old can score such goals on a regular basis if he wants to.

“[The goal was] unbelievable, but Alex can do that every week if he wants to”, said Arteta to Arsenal Player.

The Spaniard believes the world is at Oxlade-Chamberlain’s feet, and has tipped him to fulfil his potential, while hailing him as a "terrific" player.

“He’s a terrific player, one of the best talents I’ve seen, and he’s got the world open for what he wants to do. It’s up to him, ,he added.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will hope to play a prominent role in the first team after missing 21 games an injury-plagued 2014/15 campaign.

Arsenal won their second successive FA Community Shield following their success in 2014, and maintained their winning streak at Wembley. They have now won six in a row at England national team’s home ground.

The win was Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s first career win over Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea, which ended a run of 12 games without a win for the Frenchman.
