Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is scheduled to meet the Barcelona hierarchy tomorrow in order to negotiate the transfer of Pedro Rodriguez, according to Catalan daily Sport.

Pedro has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford as he attempts to find a club to play regular first team football in the forthcoming season.

The forward, who has been with the Camp Nou outfit since he joined the club’s youth system in 2004, struggled for regular first team football last season as he found himself below Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in the Barcelona pecking order.

He has been reported to be a transfer target of reigning French champions Paris Saint- Germain as well as Premier League giants Liverpool, but Manchester United are understood to have an advantage in his chase.

Woodward is set to meet the Blaugrana officials tomorrow in Barcelona in a bid to negotiate for Pedro’s transfer to Manchester United.
