Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla are in pursuit of Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, according to Sky Italia.

Llorente has been at the Juventus Stadium since he left Athletic Bilbao for the Old Lady in the summer of 2013.

However, he has struggled for regular first team action with the Italian giants. Last season, he played second fiddle to Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez, and Juventus having added the likes of Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic to their ranks, the Spaniard’s first team minutes are likely to be further sacrificed.

In the prevailing circumstances, he has been linked with numerous clubs, including Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur amongst others.

And now Sevilla are in pursuit of the Spain international as they attempt to strengthen their ranks for the forthcoming season, where they will also be competing in the Champions League.

The Andalusians have sold their leading marksman Carlos Bacca to Serie A outfit AC Milan and are looking to add more options in the attacking department.

Juventus are asking for €12m to part company with the forward, but Unai Emery’s side views the asking price as too high and are willing to wait and prise him away for an affordable fee.

Llorente is willing to take a pay cut for move to La Liga, a stance that could facilitate his return to the Spanish league.
