Tottenham Hotspur new boy Toby Alderweireld has expressed his eagerness to lock horns with one of his old rivals in the form of Real Madrid in the Audi Cup.

Both the Spanish giants and the Lilywhites are part of the two-day tournament that takes place at the Allianz Arena starting from tomorrow and will face each other in the starting match of the competition. The two other teams taking part in the competition will be hosts Bayern Munich and Italian giants AC Milan, who face-off against each other in the next match.

Alderweireld, a former Atletico Madrid player, knows well the kind of pressure that comes while facing a side like Real Madrid and insists that he is relishing the opportunity.

As far as their own preparations for the match are concerned, the 26-year-old added that he and his team-mates have trained hard and will be going to Germany fully ready for the test.

“Real Madrid will be a very good test for us”, the former Southampton player told his club's official website.
