Arsenal have entered the fray to secure the services of Liverpool linked winger Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid this summer.

While Rafael Benitez has been impressed with his performances during pre-season, Real Madrid are ready to listen to offers for the Russian winger this summer.

The 24-year-old Real Madrid winger is attracting keen interest from the Premier League, with Liverpool believed to be one of his primary suitors.

However, it has been claimed that Arsenal are poised to pour cold water on Liverpool’s hopes of signing Cheryshev and are ready to make a move for him this summer.

According to Spanish daily AS, the Gunners are aware that Real Madrid are ready to sell the winger and are contemplating making an offer for the Russian international.

Villarreal boss Marcelino Garcia Toral is also keen to see Cheryshev return to El Madrigal this summer, but the Premier League duo are believed to be the top contenders to land the winger this summer.

Real Madrid boss Benitez is prepared however to keep the Russian at the club and any move to offload him this summer would have to be ratified by the Spaniard, meaning the will of the player could be crucial.

Cheryshev still has two years left on his contract with Real Madrid.
