New Leeds United signing Stuart Dallas believes the Whites are showing one of the traits sides who finish in the top six of the Championship show.

Dallas has joined Leeds on a three-year deal, with the option of a fourth year, from the Whites' Championship rivals Brentford; the winger refused to extend a contract which had just 12 months to run at Brentford.

He helped the Bees finish fifth in the Championship last season, thus booking a spot in the playoffs; Leeds would be delighted with a similar placing in the upcoming campaign.

Dallas was asked what the secret to being up in the top six is and told LUTV: "First and foremost you've got to enjoy playing and from the first session this morning I can see the lads enjoy playing under the management."

The Northern Irishman also believes it is important to get off to a good start, something he feels Leeds can do.

"If we can get off to a good start it will really help us.

"There's no reason why we can't", Dallas added.

Dallas becomes Leeds' seventh new signing of the summer and will hope to instantly make his debut for the Whites when they host Burnley at Elland Road this coming Saturday.

Burnley were relegated from the Premier League last season and are expected to provide Leeds with stiff opposition.
