Rangers manager Mark Warburton is putting down roots in Glasgow as he settles in for the long haul at Ibrox.

Warburton moved up to Scotland earlier this summer after leaving his post at English Championship side Brentford. He took his assistant David Weir with him to Rangers.

The Englishman has been concentrating on football, leaving little time to house hunt – and it has paid dividends with Rangers winning both their competitive matches under him this season.

Now though Warburton has sent out a signal of his intention to see the job through at Rangers, by preparing to move into an apartment.

The manager, keen to fill fans in, took to Twitter to write: "Looking forward to moving into my apartment this week. Good to get settled."

Rangers fans will no doubt hope a settled domestic life can help Warburton to increase his focus on the Gers still further, as he looks to mastermind a promotion push up to the Scottish Premiership this season.

Warburton's men start their Scottish Championship campaign this coming Friday when they welcome St Mirren to Ibrox and the Gers will be keen to lay down a marker for the remainder of the season.
