Leeds United executive chairman Adam Pearson is expecting the club to net a sum of money following Max Gradel's move to Bournemouth earlier today.

The Whites sold Gradel to French club Saint-Etienne and inserted a sell-on clause into the deal, which has now kicked in with Les Verts selling the forward to Bournemouth.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Bournemouth are paying €7m plus a further €2.5m in add-ons to sign Gradel and Leeds will earn a percentage of that sum.

How much though the Whites are unsure as Pearson says they have not seen the figures of the deal.

Pearson said on Sky Sports News 92 Live: "Max Gradel we're hoping is [money coming in]. We haven’t seen the figures, but we’ve got a sell-on [clause] on Max."

The executive director also saluted the club's transfer business this summer, with the Whites making their latest signing today in the shape of winger Stuart Dallas from Brentford.

"It's another seven figure fee, which shows the commitment of the owner", Pearson explained.

"We've brought seven in and moved 16 out.

"We've got a good squad of 21."

And Pearson, while not wanting to send expectations through the roof at Elland Road, is quietly confident the Whites will be in the promotion mix in the Championship.

"We are going to be quiet about it, but we think we'll be in and around the pack", he said.
