Tottenham Hotspur new boy Kevin Wimmer has heaped praise on Spurs' supporters, saying that he knew long before his arrival at White Hart Lane that the north London club enjoy brilliant support.

Wimmer has landed from 1.FC Koln and will look to provide more defensive solidity to their side in the forthcoming season.




The 22-year-old spent three seasons at the RheinEnergieStadion and went on to make a total of 73 appearances for the Billy Goats prior to his move to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.

And the youngster is relishing the frenetic support that Spurs enjoy, saying that the fans remain committed to their team and are not averse to travelling even if the away games are held far away.
 


“I knew before I joined that Tottenham has brilliant fans”, he told his club’s site.

“You really enjoy and appreciate that as a player.”

Wimmer, who made 32 league appearances for 1.FC Koln last season, will be eager to cement his spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s first team in the forthcoming season.
