Manchester United linked goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has stressed that he is completely focused on doing well with Ajax at the moment.

The Dutch international goalkeeper has been touted as a replacement for Real Madrid target David de Gea at Manchester United.

The Ajax shot-stopper has been consistently linked with the possibility of reuniting with his former national team manager Louis van Gaal at Manchester United this summer.

Ajax are wary about losing their top star to Manchester United and the player previously admitted that he is aware of the chatter surrounding his future.

However, the 26-year-old stressed that he can do very little with the rumours surrounding his future and insisted that he is focussing on his job with Ajax.

“I can do very little about it [the speculation]”, Cillessen was quoted as saying by De Telegraaf.

“That is why I am completely focused with Ajax.”

Cillessen has been in top form for Ajax over the last few years and was voted the club’s player of the year last season.

With De Gea’s future still remaining unresolved, there is speculation that Van Gaal has identified his compatriot as Manchester United’s number one target should the Spaniard join Real Madrid this summer.
