Ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash against Qarabag, Celtic captain is unperturbed by the conditions at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium.

Celtic carry a 1-0 lead from the first leg at Celtic Park, meaning a draw tonight would see them progress to the next stage of the elite European competition.

There have been concerns regarding the playing conditions at the home of the reigning champions of the Azerbaijan Premier League, however, Brown is undeterred by the concerns and feels that his spell with youth sides have prepared him well for the coming challenges.

“I’ve played in conditions like this a couple of times with Scotland, coming up through the youths in the Under 19s and 20s when I went to Macedonia”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

“We’ve played at two o’clock in the afternoon in the heat and it’s not great but we need to manage the conditions and play that way.”

Talking about the game, the Scotland international further added that the Hoops will attempt to take a possession-based approach and dictate the tempo of the game.

“We have to try and control the game, keep the ball and try to play at our tempo as well.”

A win or a draw tonight will edge the reigning Scottish champions a step closer to the group stage of the Champions League.
