Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne feels that the Reds are capable of challenging for all competitions that they compete in during the 2015/16 season.

Brendan Rodgers’ side finished sixth in the league standings last season and were eliminated from the League Cup as well as the FA Cup at the semi-final stage. They were also booted out of the Champions League at the group stage after registering a solitary win from a group that comprised Real Madrid, Basel and Ludogorets Razgrad.

Liverpool have made significant additions to their ranks this summer with the acquisitions of Roberto Firmino, Christian Benteke, Danny Ings, James Milner and Clyne amongst others and the defender feels that the Reds have the squad to compete on all fronts next season.

“With the squad that we have, I would like to think that we'll look to win every competition that we're in”, he told the Liverpool FC magazine.

The England international further added that the Reds will battle for the league title and attempt to do well in all the cup competitions.

“Our aim has to be a title challenge and trying to make the final of one of the cup competitions, while doing as well as we can in the Europa League.”

Clyne will attempt to replicate his good showing for Southampton at Anfield in the upcoming campaign.
