Roma are close to securing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain full back and Liverpool target Lucas Digne.

The Frenchman is said to be keen to leave PSG this summer for more first team football and has attracted attention from an array of clubs across Europe.

While Liverpool are also believed to be after the Frenchman, Roma are the ones who are currently leading the chase and are favourites to take him to Italy.

The Giallorossi have been in negotiations with PSG and the player over the last few days and according to Sky Italia, the club are close to agreeing a deal for Digne.

Rudi Garcia has been pushing hard to sign his former Lille player and it seems the Roma are now close to reaching an agreement with PSG for the 22-year-old French international.

Digne’s potential move to Roma would help Garcia to solve his problematic left-back position, as Ashley Cole has failed to make a mark following his move last summer.

In all, the 22-year-old has made 44 appearances for the French champions, assisting five goals in the process.

He is also a French international and has been capped eight times by Les Bleus.
