Celtic manager Ronny Deila feels his side did not deserve more than the point they earned against Kilmarnock this evening, pointing to their lack of defensive discipline as the cause of two dropped Scottish Premiership points.

Deila's men grabbed the lead in just the second minute when a clever Kris Commons free-kick played in striker Leigh Griffiths, who made no mistake.

The Bhoys spurned further chances in the first half and were then undone in the 44th minute when Josh Magennis found space to level for Kilmarnock, sending the sides in at 1-1.

Nir Bitton put Celtic 2-1 up in the 55th minute, however a foul by Emilio Izaguirre in the 88th minute allowed Kilmarnock to grab a draw from the penalty spot.

Deila was not a happy man after the full-time whistle, but admitted his side did not deserve more than a point.

"We gave away way too many goal chances. That was disappointing. We should have been more disciplined. We should have led by two or three going in to the break", he was quoted as saying by BBC Scotland.

"Kris [Commons] has a dead leg and with James Forrest it's a little thing in his knee. We can defend, we have good players, but it's disappointing that we are lacking discipline.

"We need to be 100% switched on, defensively and offensively. It's always tough.

"We take one point – we wanted three but we didn't deserved any more."
