Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has bemoaned his side's 2-2 draw away at Kilmarnock this evening, insisting the Bhoys should have got into double figures given the chances they had.

The visitors instantly took the lead at Rugby Park, needing just two minutes to put daylight between themselves and Kilmarnock, the goal coming when Griffiths got on the end of a neat free-kick from Kris Commons to slot past Jamie MacDonald.

But Kilmarnock drew level when Josh Magennis found space in the box to turn the ball beyond Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon just before half time.

Celtic grabbed the lead again soon after the break though, Nir Bitton the goalscorer in the 55th minute.

But Kilmarnock would not lie down and with just two minutes left in the game were awarded a penalty, which Kallum Higginbotham slotted home to make it 2-2.

Celtic had to settle for a draw, but Griffiths feels the result was not fair given the chances the visitors had.

"The chances we had in the first half, we should have had double figures", he was quoted as saying by the BBC Scotland.

"Jamie MacDonald had a great save in the first half and two or three in the second half, a few from myself.

"It's one of those games. It's a soft penalty we gave away."
