Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard has been left out of the club's 21-member squad for tonight’s friendly fixture against Galatasaray.

Earlier this year, Odegaard was pursued by numerous European giants including Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Celtic amongst a host of others, but he chose to sign for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

The youngster became part of Real Madrid Castilla managed by Zinedine Zidane and made his first team debut under then manager Carlo Ancelotti in the final game of the 2014/15 league campaign against Getafe.

However, the Norwegian has been keen on getting first team appearances in the coming season and Los Blancos boss Rafael Benitez hasn’t been able to promise him that.

Odegaard has been linked with numerous clubs with a loan move and Getafe submitted a formal request for a loan stint earlier this summer.
